Melanie Lane is an incredibly talented contemporary dancer and choreographer who has been based in Berlin for the past decade (almost). I am lucky enough to have shared most of our lives together and while I was in Berlin, I helped her out with designing a few things. Hopefully this is the start of many collaborative projects that we'll share so watch this space.

My images and the start of an ongoing series I’m developing which was shown for the Picture Berlin residency closing exhibition at WestGermany Gallery in Kreuzberg.
Through my process of studying groups of people as well as the individual perspective of the tourist, I question how much they are able to experience in a limited amount of time and how their presence can physically shape and simultaneously change the significance of the place they visit.

As part of the Picture Berlin residency, we were given a pre-arrival assignment to shoot our impressions, idea's, expectations and explorations of Berlin before we arrive.
We were supposed to exhibit at Skulpturenpark but it started raining so at the last moment, moved it to an artist residency in Kreuzberg.
